The prominent result of the Soviet period of the department was the publication of two volumes of "History of Philosophy in Ukraine" (1987). The new period of the department’s activity began in 1990 with the expansion of research in various areas and the rethinking of old research subjects under new conditions.</p> <p>The study of Polish and Latin Renaissance thought in Ukraine began, turning to new figures and aspects in the study of philosophical thought of the XVII-XVIII centuries. The works of "revolutionary democrats" began to be studied as "philosophy of national idea". An anthology of texts of the leading directions of political thought and philosophical works of D. Chyzhevskyi is being prepared. Approaches to the publication of written memoirs are changing: along with the introduction of unexplored texts, the staff of the department is engaged in the preparation of critical publications.</p> <p>Since 2010, the efforts of the staff of the department are aimed at preserving and updating the already established research traditions and developing new areas and forms of research. In particular, research on the historiography of Ukrainian philosophy of the Soviet period and the history of political ideas and political philosophy in Ukraine, the study of communities and environments in which the production and exchange of philosophical ideas take place, studies on the history of concepts and the relationship of philosophy with national languages.</p>}, number={4}, journal={Filosofska Dumka}, author={Yosypenko, Serhii and KYRYRCHOK, Oleksandr}, year={2021}, month={Dec.}, pages={71–78} }
