“Philosopher model” in the education tradition of the University of Kyiv

The history of formation and basic structure elements of the modern model of special training of a philosopher at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv has been analyzed in the article. The features inherent in this University education tradition which have been formed, beginning from the early 19th century, and peculiarities of the current stage of training at the Faculty of Philosophy are revealed. The basic requirements to the training of specialists at the Philosophy Faculty at the Departments of Philosophy, Politology, Religion Study, Culturology and Government.
