Abstract

On the track of her own experience, the author joins in discussing the problem of otherness, initiated at the Round Table Meeting  of “Philosophical Thought” (2019, No.3). Essay tells how blind people get closer to awareness of their otherness and how they, being deprived of eye contact, find their place in society.

Candidate of Philosophy, Associate Professor at the Department of Socio-Economic Disciplines, Odesa State University of Internal Affairs; author and host of the TV program “Ocean of Cinema and Literature”, Media-Inform channe; co-author of the youtube-project “Entertaining Everyday Life”.
