Abstract

Creative work of Vitalii Tabachkovskyi (1944—2006) was inseparably connected with work in the important thematic trend of the Institute of Philosophy — Weltanschauung, value problems of philosophy and philosophical-anthropological problems. His research of the phenomenon of philosophers of the sixties has become a noticeable contribution to the present search in philosophical anthropology. The book Poly-essence Homo: Philosophic-Artistic Thought in Search of Non-Euclidian Reflexivity has become his “swan-song”. It was based on the appeal to standard examples of philosophical-anthropological reflexion — from the ancient thought and classical philosophy (Blaise Pascal, Immanuel Kant, Ludwig A. von Feuerbach, Friedrich W. Nietzsche) to philosophical anthropology of the 20th century (Max Scheler, Helmuth Plessner, Martin Heidegger , Karl Th. Jaspers, Edgar Morin e. a.). Analysis of the collision of essence and existence of a man and critical resensing of the ideas of original essence (principle of the open question) belong to the central themes of research. Socio-pedagogical views of Tabachkovskyi are based on the so called anthropologema of self-agreement
