Main research areas and departments of the Institute
Abstract
Employees of the department keep in touch with leading scientists from around the world. Important areas of the department's work are translation projects, organization of international conferences, as well as an interdepartmental seminar in "Philosophy of Language and Philosophy of Mind". This allows the staff to be involved in the global context of current philosophical issues, including the study of communicative turn in Western European philosophical thought, the development of historical and philosophical problems of reception, identity, and more. At the same time, the staff of the sector of the history of Eastern philosophy contributes to the acquaintance of the domestic philosophical community with the works of representatives of Eastern philosophical thought.
The theoretical achievements of the department, translations and experience of communication with foreign colleagues have important ideological, methodological and practical meanings for domestic philosophy and for Ukrainian culture in general.
