Foreword
DISCOURSE IN SOCIETY AND IN CULTURE
Abstract
It is quite obvious that the connection between society and discursive practices is inextricable. It is simply impossible to imagine one without the other. Lévi-Strauss also substantiated the interdependence of the structures and internal organization of language with kinship systems — the basis of primitive society. The inseparability of the constitution and vital activities of society from discourse emphasizes the nature of sociality as a semantic order. It is in the discourse that meanings arise and are formed, it is a kind of nervous system of social life. However, it is precisely because of the close and multidimensional connection of social relations with speech that it is difficult to track and reveal the multifaceted social effects of discourse. This prompted another appeal to this important topic.
